MINUTES OF RICHARDS CASTLE (SHROPSHIRE) PARISH COUNCIL EXTRAORDINARY MEETING HELD AT 7.30 PM ON TUESDAY 3 SEPTEMBER 2024 AT THE VILLAGE HALL
PRESENT: Cllr. H Salwey (Chairman); Cllr. V Hawkins (Vice Chairman); Cllr. D Ayres; Cllr. A Cowell; Cllr. A Hall; Cllr. R Smith and Cllr. A Wright.
IN ATTENDANCE: Ward Cllr. V Parry and R Hewitt, Clerk. No members of the public were present.

24/52 Ward Councillor Report
Ward Cllr. V Parry kindly provided a brief verbal report which highlighted traffic on Station Road and work by the highway authority to fix a broken drainage pipe off Woodhouse Lane.
24/53 Planning
24/02731/FUL Grangewood, Overton Road, Ludlow, SY8 4AD. Demolition of existing buildings and construction of replacement dwelling, workshop and relocation of one existing open sided barn. The planning application was supported provided that the proposed dwelling and outbuilding(s) are sympathetic to the rural surroundings.
Appeal APP/L3245/Y/24/3347407 Re: 23/05512/FUL Woodcroft Farm, Richards Castle. Erection of one self contained holiday letting unit. It was noted that all representations made to Shropshire Council on the application have been forwarded to the planning inspectorate. The parish council agreed to make no further comment beyond what has already been submitted to the planning authority.
